DND Mode on Fitbit (All There’s To Know!)

Fitbit smartwatches and activity trackers come with various modes for different functions. Examples of modes you will get on Fitbit include the Always-On Display (AOD) mode, sleep mode, silent mode, and DND mode. Today we are going to have a closer look at the mode, I will tell what the mode means, what it does, how to turn it on, how to turn it off, and more. So, without further ado let’s get started.

What is DND Mode and What Does it Do on Fitbit Luxe, Charge, Sense, Versa, and Inspire?

DND mode in other words means “Do Not Disturb” mode. When this mode is active vibrations and sound notifications from app are silenced for better focus. The only part not affected by the DND mode is the screen display on Fitbit; it still wakes up when you raise or twist your wrist or when notifications arrive. Get this, DoNot Disturb mode does not stop your Fitbit from  getting  app notifications like texts and calls. In fact, apart from raising the wrist, app notifications will wake the display of your Fitbit but of course, without sounds and vibrations.

What is  the Difference Between Do Not Disturb Mode and Sleep Mode on Fitbit?

The DND mode and sleep mode serve the same purpose, which is to keep you off disruptions. Even so we have a few noticeable differences between the two Fitbit modes.

For instance, while the Do Not Disturb mode only mute sounds and vibrations, the sleep mode mutes sounds and vibrations plus dims the screen of your Fitbit for zero disruptions while sleeping.

Sleep mode on Fitbit can be scheduled to automatically turn on and off from settings in the Fitbit app. On the other hand, DND mode cannot be scheduled, it can only be turned on and off manually from the quick settings panel.

The “Do Not Disturb”mode keeps you focused with whatever it is your are doing  during the day or at night whereas the Sleep mode eliminates any disruptions to keep you locked deep into sleep.

The main difference between the modes is this, the “Do Not Disturb” mode is daytime setting whereas the sleep mode is a nighttime setting.

Is Sleep Mode better than Do Not Disturb on Fitbit?

The DND mode is as important as the sleep mode. Sleep mode is meant for bedtime whereas the Do Not Disturb mode is meant for daytime.

What I means is this, you cannot use the sleep mode instead of the DND mode or the DND mode instead of the sleep mode.

The modes might function almost the same but they are mean for different purposes, which means they are both important hence none is better than the other.
