Does Fitbit Need a Screen Protector (Question Answered!)

Fitbit smartwatches and activity trackers come with touchscreen displays. If something hits or scratches the display, the screen may get damaged, causing it to fail to respond to touches. To protect the screen on a Fitbit Sense, Ace, Inspire, Charge, or Versa, it is recommended you apply a protective cover. However, the question remains: Does Fitbit need a screen protector?

It depends! You don’t need a screen cover on your Fitbit if you are always in the office. On the other hand, applying a screen protector to your Fitbit Sense 2, Inspire 3, Charge 5, Versa 4, Sense, Inspire 2, or Versa 3 would be necessary if you work in construction sites, mining sites, garages, etc. The screen protector will protect your Fitbit watch from cracks and scratches caused by abrasive objects and surfaces in such areas of work.

The activities in which you engage will determine whether or not your Fitbit Versa 4, Inspire 2, Charge 5, Sense, Versa 3, Inspire 3, or Sense 2 requires a screen protector. For example, a Fitbit wearer who works in a garage or at a construction site will find a screen protective cover more beneficial than someone who works in an office. A screen protector is the only way that a vigorous worker can safeguard his or her Fitbit screen from cracks and scratches.

Today, I would like to share some of the best screen protectors that you can apply to your Fitbit Ace 3, Sense, Inspire 2, Versa 3, Inspire 3, Sense 2, Charge 5, and Versa 4. Furthermore, I will illustrate how to apply a screen protective cover to any Fitbit watch model.

4 Best Screen Protectors for Fitbit Ace,  Charge, Inspire, Sense, and Versa

Not all Fitbit trackers require a screen protector, for example, the Fitbit Flex 2 which lacks a screen display.

On the other hand, Fitbit watches and trackers like Sense 2, Charge 4, Charge 5, Versa 4, Ace 3, Sense 2, Inspire 2, and Inspire 3 can have screen protective covers applied to them.

With me are the top 4 affordable screen protectors you can buy a Fitbit Ace, Versa, Sense, and Inspire.

1. YMHML (6 Pack) Protective Cover

The YMHML protective cover is HD and feels soft. No scratch will form on the screen protective cover thanks to the polyethylene terephthalate material, which is scratch-resistant.

In addition, the screen is waterproof so, no water penetrates through it to the screen.

The YMHML screen protector is compatible with Fitbit Sense 2, Versa 4, Sense, and Versa 3.

I liked this Fitbit screen cover because it is offered at an affordable price and it is very easy to apply.

2. Ace Armor Shield (6 Pack) Screen Protector

Kids are always active. Your child being too active may result in scratches or cracks on the screen of his or her Fitbit Ace.

Since there is no point telling your child not to play I would recommend you apply the Ace Armor Shield screen protector on his or her Fitbit tracker.

The Ace Armor Shield screen protector will prevent cracks and scratches from soils and boulders.

Most screen covers leave traces of prints on the screen but not the Ace Armor Shield screen protector.

This screen protector is not only compatible with the Fitbit Ace 2 and Ace 3 but with Fitbit Alta and Fitbit Alta HR too.

The Ace Armor Shield screen cover is easy to apply on Fitbit and comes at an affordable price.

How to Apply a Screen Protector on Fitbit Step-By-Step

As I’ve said, applying a screen protector on Fitbit is easy regardless of the model you have. To install or apply a new screen protector on Fitbit follow the step below:

Step 1: Clean the display of your Fitbit watch or tracker so that it is free from dirt and dust.

Step 2: Remove one screen protector from the box and peel off the paper layer covering the adhesive and as you do so avoid touching the adhesive part of the screen protector.

Step 3: Gently apply the protective cover on your Fitbit. As you apply make sure the edges of the screen cover align with the edges of your Fitbit screen.

Step 4: Now, gently rub on the screen protector to fully install it onto your Fitbit.

You may see bubbles form between the screen cover and the Fitbit screen. To eliminate the bubbles slowly and gently press them toward the ends of the screen.

Applying a screen cover on Fitbit was as easy as that! You can now use your Fitbit without the worry of getting scratches and cracks on the screen.

Final Words

You can use your Fitbit without a protective cover; however, you’ll need to avoid abrasive objects and surfaces.

The only time your Fitbit will need a protective cover is when you are working around abrasive objects and surfaces that can cause scratches and cracks on the Fitbit screen.

I hope this post helped you install a screen cover on your Fitbit as well as find the best screen protector for your Fitbit.
