Each of these brands provides unique features and benefits to meet the diverse needs of users, ensuring that there is an ideal choice for everyone seeking a quality wearable device.

In summary, some of the best Fitbit alternatives to buy include TicWatch E3, Samsung  Galaxy Watch 5, Garmin Forerunner 945, Amazfit Fitness Band 5, Whoop 4.0, BellaBeat Ivy Bracelet, Oura Ring, and Amazon Halo View.

9 Best Fitbit Alternatives

Without adding much let’s discuss the above-mentioned Fitbit alternatives!

1. TicWatch E3

With a Fitbit, you don’t get to skip, pause, and play music (from the watch itself). However, with the TicWatch E3 smartwatch you get to connect to Bluetooth headsets and stream songs on YouTube Music.

With this Fitbit alternative, you will monitor sleep, exercise duration, heart rate, calories burned, blood oxygen levels, and more. After monitoring your activities you will connect the watch with the Mobvoi app to view in-depth reports.

Like Fitbit Sense 2, Charge 5, and Versa 4, the TicWatch E3 also makes contactless payments with Google Pay technology.

This Fitbit alternative can only store charge for 2 days and as soon as the battery level drops to 5% the power saving mode activates automatically by default.

  • Can stream your favorite songs on YouTube Music.
  • Can make contactless payments with Google Pay technology.
  • Has an automatic power-saving mode.

  • It doesn’t have a better battery life than Fitbit watches.

2. Samsung Galaxy Watch 5

I consider the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 as a Fitbit alternative because it offers better features. With Galaxy Watch 5, you get to monitor and analyze your sleep, blood pressure, blood oxygen levels, calories burned, body temperatures, and more.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 smartwatch allows you to keep track of up to 90 exercises some of which include swimming, running, walking, and cycling.

We also have a built-in GPS on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 that provides location data and that way you maintain the right route while running or cycling.

The Galaxy Watch 5 smartwatch has an auto workout tracking feature that starts tracking activities as soon as they are detected.

Unfortunately, this Fitbit alternative does not come with good battery life: the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 smartwatch only lasts for 15 hours on a complete charge.

  • It offers more and better features than Fitbit.
  • Comes with a built-in GPS.
  • Compatible with iOS and Android devices.
  • Can track blood pressure.

  • Doesn’t have good battery life.
  • It is a bit costly.

3. AmazFit GTR 2 Smartwatch

AmazFit GTR 2 is yet another Fitbit alternative that connects to iOS and Android devices and Alexa for voice commands. This smartwatch features a 1.39″ touchscreen display that is vibrant and easy to use.

Away from the display, the watch features various built-in sensors that work together to monitor heart rate, sleep, calories burned, blood oxygen levels, stress levels, etc.

Speaking of physical activities, the AmazFit fitness band can monitor walking, cycling, running, yoga, and more.

In-depth data for everything tracked will be sent to the companion app each day and you can use the data to improve your health and fitness.

  • Has a good battery life.
  • Comes with over 120 sports modes.
  •  Can monitor menstrual cycles.

  • Does not support on-wrist Bluetooth calls.

4. Garmin Forerunner 945

Garmin Forerunner 945 is a Fitbit alternate that features a round and stylish display that’s colored. Instead of a touchscreen display, the Forerunner 945 uses buttons; the watch is not a touchscreen.

Garmin Forerunner 945 can monitor your health and fitness activities. Examples of activities the smartwatch monitors include heart rate, sleep, calories burned, distance, steps, swimming, and more.

Forerunner 945 is the tracker to go for when you want a Fitbit alternative that calculates VO2 Max, monitors recovery time, as well as aerobic and anaerobic training effects.

A Fitbit alternative with the best battery life is Garmin Forerunner 945. On a complete charge, the tracker can last for 14 days (operating on smartwatch mode).

Nowadays, Fitbit users can only use their tracker to control songs playing on their phones because streaming and storage of music on the devices were discontinued. Fortunately, with the Forerunner 945, you can stream music on Spotify, Deezer, and Pandora. In addition, it comes with built-in storage that can store the songs you like for offline listening.

Nonetheless, you don’t need your card or wallet around because like Fitbit Charge 5, Sense 2, and Versa 4 the Garmin Forerunner 945 can make contactless payments with the Garmin Pay technology.

If you are a runner or cyclist you may want to consider the  Forerunner 945 because like the Fitbit Sense 2, Charge 5, and Versa 4 it features an onboard GPS that maps your location and this ensures you don’t get lost even when in new locations.

  • It comes with good battery life.
  • Can be worn in the pool and shower because it is water resistant.
  • It works with both iOS and Android devices.
  • Can store and stream music.

  • It is an expensive Fitbit alternative.

5. Whoop 4.0

The Whoop 4.0 strap is a unique tracker. Unlike Fitbit, the Strap does not have a display to ensure you concentrate on workouts.

Even though Whoop is a good Fitbit alternative, it is more expensive. Unlike Fitbit, you cannot use Whoop without a membership plan. The plan is supposed to be renewed monthly or yearly.

Fortunately, after you pay for the Whoop membership plan you get the band for free. Your Whoop 4.0 strap is entitled to a Lifetime warranty provided you continue paying the monthly or yearly membership fee.

With Whoop 4.0 you will monitor your heart rate, sleep, calories burned, steps, oxygen saturation in the blood, and more. The tracker also goes ahead and provides you with personalized data on your strain, recovery, and sleep.

Whoop 4.0 is not waterproof so, unlike a Fitbit watch you cannot have it in the pool; Whoop 4.0 cannot track swimming

  • Whoop 4.0 strap is free for anyone who pays for its membership subscription
  • Has an excellent battery life that lasts up to 5 days.

  • May get damaged when exposed to water.
  • Can’t be used without a membership plan.

6. BellaBeat IVY Bracelet

The BellaBeat health and fitness tracker is specifically designed for women hence one of the best alternatives for Fitbit Luxe.

Like the Whoop 4.0 strap, the  BellaBeat tracker does not come with a display but looks more like jewelry.

Unfortunately, the BellaBeat Ivy Bracelet is not water resistant so, unlike Fitbit you shouldn’t have it on while in the swimming pool or shower.

BellaBeat keeps track of sleep patterns, heart activities, body temperatures, meditation minutes, and menstrual health.  It also lets you log your hydration from its companion app.

The BellaBeat Ivy Bracelet has a battery life of 8 days whereas the Fitbit smartwatches and activity tracker have a battery life of 5+ days.

  • Looks stylish.
  • Has a good battery life.
  • Can keep track of menstrual cycle.

  • Unlike Fitbit, it doesn’t feature a display.
  • It is not water resistant.
  • It is specifically designed for women.

7. Oura Ring

The Oura smart ring is one of Fitbit’s alternatives because of its simplicity. As the name suggests, the tracker goes on the fingers, and from there it can monitor sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability, activities, and body temperatures with the help of several built-in sensors.

Oura ring features a water resistance rating that is twice that of Fitbit. Fitbit has a resistance rating of 5ATM whereas Oura has a rating of 10ATM.

Oura ring and Fitbit charge differently but they tend to keep charge for the same period, which is 5 to 6 days.

  • Feels comfortable.
  • Has a good water resistance rating.

  • It does not track HIIT properly.

8. Amazon Halo View

The Amazon Halo View watch is on my list of Fitbit alternatives because it looks and acts like Fitbit. Despite all the similarities Fitbit and Amazon Halo View are two different trackers from different brands.

The Amazon Halo View fitness tracker adds a few exclusive features to its platform with impressive technologies but doesn’t beat most Fitbit models.

On the watch, you will find various sensors that will be responsible for tracking your blood oxygen levels, heart rate, calories, and more.

Unfortunately, you won’t get detailed health and fitness tracking, an always-on display, or contactless payments on Amazon Halo View.

What I like about the Amazon Halo View is the battery life. On a complete charge, the watch can last for up to 7 days whereas Fitbit only manages to last 6 days at most.

  • Its battery life is better than that of Fitbit.
  • It comes at an affordable price.

  • It is not a fancy watch.

9. Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro

If you’re not interested in the Fitbit Charge 3 tracker, the Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro is another option to consider. This device can track sleep stages, heart rate, routes, swimming, and more. It also has a water resistance rating of 5ATM, just like the Fitbit Charge 3. However, the Gear Fit 2 Pro has a shorter battery life of 3 days compared to the Fitbit. On the downside, this alternative is more expensive.
