How to Change Time on Fitbit (Fitbit Versa, Luxe, Charge, Inspire)

You can do so much with a Fitbit tracker. Apart from monitoring activities, Fitbit can track time thanks to the dedicated clock. I have a Fitbit Sense and at times the time on it is incorrect. I use a simple method to change the time on my Fitbit Sense when it’s wrong and I will share it below.

You can use the same steps to change the time on Fitbit models such as Versa, Charge, Luxe, and Inspire. Without adding much here is how you will change the time on Fitbit.

How Do You Change the Time on Fitbit?

You can always correct the time on your Fitbit Sense, Versa, Luxe, Charge, or Inspire if it is wrong. You can update the time either via the phone or the Fitbit website. Here is how you will change the time on your Fitbit tracker from the paired phone.

Methods 1: Change the Time on Fitbit Using Your iPhone

To change the time on your Fitbit tracker from an iPhone, or any iOS device follow the simple steps below:

Step 1: Unlock your paired phone, go to the Apps Menu, and tap on the Fitbit app.

Step 2: Tap on the Today tab.

Step 3: Tap your Profile Picture to open account settings.

Step 4: Opt for the App Settings option.

Step 5: Tap on Time Zone.

Step 6: Tap on the Set Automatic option to turn it off.

Step 7: Now, tap the Set Time Zone option and choose your current time zone.

Step 8: Lastly, Sync your smartwatch or activity tracker.

Method 2: Change the Time Using Your Android Phone

To change the time on your Fitbit tracker from a Samsung phone, or any Android device follow the simple steps below:

Step 1: Unlock your phone and open the Fitbit app.

Step 2: In the app tap on the Today tab.

Step 3: Tap on your Profile Picture in the top left corner to open account settings.

Step 4: Select the Apps Settings option.

Step 5: Tap on the Time Zone option.

Step 6: Toggle off the Set Automatic option.

Step 7: Choose your current Time Zone from the list of time zones.

Step 8: Tap Sync in the Fitbit app to update time on your Fitbit device.

As you can see changing the time on a Fitbit watch is straightforward whether done on an Android or iOS device and it takes less than a minute.

Method 3: Update Time Using the Fitbit.com Dashboard

If your phone is not close, charging, or off you can still change the time on your Fitbit device from the Fitbit website. To change or set the time on Fitbit through the Fitbit website follow the steps below:

Step 1: On your browser visit Fitbit.com.

Step 2: Sign into your Fitbit account with your login details.

Step 3: On the Fitbit dashboard click on the Settings Gear and on the drop down click Settings.

Step 4: Select the Person Info option.

Step 5: Under personal info click Time Zone.

Step 6: Click the arrow on the currently selected time zone then choose the location you are currently in from the drop-down.

Step 7: Click on the submit button and then sync Fitbit to switch to the selected time format.

It’s simple to change the time format on Fitbit Sense, Versa, Charge, Inspire, and Luxe. Just follow the steps outlined below:

Step 1: Open the Fitbit app on your paired iPhone or Android phone.

Step 2: Find the Today tab in the bottom left corner of the app and tap on it.

Step 3: Tap on your Profile Picture to open Account Settings.

Step 4: From the account settings select Clock Display Time.

Step 5: Select the time format you prefer (12-hour or 24-hour).
